Despite there not being any particularly recent movie adaptations (and the ones we did have failed to hit as intended), Star Wars is actually in a remarkably healthy place as a franchise right now. That's largely thanks to wider releases that really capture what the series is all about, expanding the existing lore and building on it in a way that fans can appreciate.
The Star Wars Jedi series is set to get a third and final part over the next year or so, and the conclusion of Cal Kestis' story could easily see him show up in other mediums.
