According to a recent leak, a new Crash Bandicoot game could be in active development. This Crash Bandicoot rumor comes from the same leaker who released details of a new Spyro the Dragon game the day before its official announcement at the Xbox Showcase.

Making his debut back in 1996, Crash Bandicoot has had a long and storied history in the video game world. While Naughty Dog created the iconic PlayStation 1 mascot, the series has swapped hands several times since its debut, with Traveller's Tales taking over mainline entries in the early 2000s while Vicarious Visions produced handheld spinoffs, and Radical Entertainment taking over the franchise in 2007. Following a seven-year hiatus and the release of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, developer Toys for Bob created the first new mainline Crash Bandicoot entry in 12 years, delivering Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time in 2020, a revival that sold over 5 million copies by April 2024.
