A PC gamer was saved by their gaming rig after a stray bullet was accidentally fired from a neighbor's gun and hit the side of the PC, which damaged some major components beyond repair. Although the PC endured significant damage, no one was injured by the accidental gunshot.

The incident came amid an expensive time for PC gaming. Since the fall of 2025, the prices of RAM and other essential components have risen exponentially over several months. However, these costs have been slightly offset by free and discounted PC games that periodically appear on various storefronts. Each Thursday, the Epic Games Store gives PC players a week to add two PC titles at no cost. Currently, Epic Games Store users have until June 18 to add The Ouroboros King and Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks to their digital libraries.
