Forget GTA 6, GTA 5 Is Now Free For Millions

As is the case with many legacy sequels, new audiences and fans of the franchise may want to explore the series’ history before diving into Grand Theft Auto 6. Plus, anyone who hasn’t yet indulged in GTA 5’s companion experience Grand Theft Auto Online companion may choose to do so in the months preceding GTA 6’s release date, which now appears to be more concrete and unwavering than ever.

However, while Grand Theft Auto 5’s Story Mode (the actual, main game, distinct from Grand Theft Auto Online) was previously available on a PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription, it no longer is. Fortunately, in a brand-new update, there is one subscription service where Grand Theft Auto 5’s Story Mode is now available, meaning that fans will no longer need to purchase it separately in order to play it.

Rockstar recently announced that Grand Theft Auto 5’s Story Mode has arrived on the GTA+ Games Library in a somewhat unceremonious and spontaneous update. As per the official Rockstar website:
