The open-world zombie survival title 7 Days to Die has finally seen a full release, and a surge of approval, as a result. 7 Days to Die spent 11 years in early access on PC and saw a brief run on consoles that stopped development in 2017. Now that the 1.0 release brings the game in its full glory to both PC and consoles, it is proving to be a big hit on both fronts.
The premise of 7 Days to Die is quite simple; gather materials and live off the land within a zombie-infested world. Time is against the player, as they will find the zombies significantly more aggressive on each seventh night, creating a gameplay loop that revolves around building up resources, surviving the night against a relentless horde of dead, recovering what you lost, and doing it all again. These blood moons are what give 7 Days to Die its namesake, and developing plans to survive these events is what has kept gamers coming back for over a decade.
7 Days to Die can be a brutal survival game, but knowing the community’s unwritten rules can help players survive against the endless zombie threat.
