The company behind Pokemon banked another huge profit this past year. Whether it was from games, trading cards, or other Pokemon-related items, their total retail sales landed it another spot on the top 10 "global licensors" list for 2023.

Pokemon has been a huge name in games for several decades now. As one of Nintendo's biggest IPs, the series was first seen as Pokemon Redand Green for the Game Boy in Japan in 1996. Since then, The Pokemon Company has expanded to include several generations of video games, trading cards and trading card games, manga, and the popular mobile game Pokemon Go. Alongside this, the company has been able to break into mainstream popularity and garner fans from a variety of different areas of interest.

While 2025 might seem like a long way off for Pokemon Legends: Z-A's launch, this release window might mean the game will see one important upgrade.
