It's no secret that the Halo franchise is very much in need of a course correction, as recent games have really stagnated what once made the series so great. Despite that poor recent run of form, it's still one of the most iconic properties in gaming, and it would be a huge shame if it were to fall by the wayside with a whimper.
The first step in the road to recovery is the upcoming release of Campaign Evolved, the single-player remake of the first game that by all accounts looks pretty brilliant at this stage. After that, it will be up to the next main game in the series to pick up the baton, and if recent updates are to be believed, it has every chance of being a fantastic new effort.
