If you somehow missed the monumental news, we finally got confirmation at the most recent Nintendo Direct that the long-rumored remake of Ocarina of Time is very much a real thing. Not only that, but we don't even have long to wait to play it, with a release scheduled for later this year.

The return of classic games is very much the trendy thing right now, and The Legend of Zelda celebrating its 40th anniversary has generally made it a target for that kind of feeling. One of the biggest targets of that nostalgic approach has been Twilight Princess, and it's back in a very big way, thanks to some very clever people.

Over on YouTube, the channel Video Game Esoterica shares regular updates about old games returning to the fore, either via emulation or decompilation. A brilliant example of the latter has been the PC port for Twilight Princess, and the now-native PC game has just received a major upgrade, in the form of new textures and updates.
