While it's hard to believe that the first teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6 dropped over 8 years ago now, it's arguably even harder to believe just how active The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim community remains after nearly 15 years since it first released in 2011. In recent weeks, for example, gamers have received several big announcements from Bethesda for brand-new Skyrim content, such as the new Heart of the Mountain paid DLC.
While these new announcements for Skyrim are exciting in many respects, they're also leaving players feeling conflicted, as every new update is a reminder that we still don't have any news on The Elder Scrolls 6. Despite an optimistic official update from XBOX exec Matt Booty confirming the project is in good shape behind the scenes, it's not much solace after the 8-year dry spell.
