It is hard to believe that earlier this week, we officially "celebrated" the eight-year anniversary of the first, and only, The Elder Scrolls VI trailer that was announced back in 2018 during E3. As the next mainline installment in The Elder Scrolls franchise, The Elder Scrolls VI will mark the first entry since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released back in 2011. So, put simply, fans have been waiting a hell of a long time.
However, with no news, trailers, or even a release window announced since The Elder Scrolls VI was first unveiled, it is safe to say that fans are starting to lose hope, and it does not help that Bethesda head Todd Howard himself admitted that the game was announced too soon back in April. With many not expecting The Elder Scrolls VI to launch until 2030 at the earliest, it is set to be a difficult few years for both Bethesda and its dedicated fanbase.
