Gears of War: E-Day has pulled the curtain back on its pre-order bonuses and its $300 Collector's Edition. Gears of War: E-Day was the starring game at the latest Xbox Games Showcase, with Microsoft not only showing off an extended gameplay presentation to kick off the show, but a full-blown Direct dedicated to it afterward.
Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel that sees fan favorites Marcus and Dom back as the two main playable characters. The game depicts the titular Emergence Day, which is when the Locust hordes first popped out of the ground and started wreaking havoc on the planet Sera. Gears of War: E-Day seems like it's going back to Gears of Wars' roots while simultaneously pushing the franchise forward from a technological standpoint, and so it has generated a great deal of hype as a result.
