PlayStation Officially Unveils Brand-New Hardware, Arriving Sooner Than Expected

The PlayStation 5 is undoubtedly a great console, and though it could do with a few more releases this year, it's an extremely reliable home console that really delivers on everything it promises to. The early days of the PlayStation 1 and 2 were very much all about the console itself, but as we've made our way through the years, it has become much more of an overall package.

As part of that, Sony has regularly released additional hardware to improve the playing experience of those enjoying games on the console. Whether it be the convenience offered by a PlayStation Portal, or a simple headset for talking to friends, you can pretty easily pick up a full gaming setup using only products made by the company.

Now, the next batch of those is set to release, and they'll all be here a lot sooner than you may expect.

Over on the official PlayStation blog, the company confirmed the upcoming release of several premium peripherals for gamers, and it has to be said that it looks like they've done a great job this time around.
