Pokémon Officially Returns To Classic Games For New 30th Anniversary Release

Pokémon turned 30 back in February, but the celebration is going on all year. Despite only the Gen 1 games set in Kanto actually hitting the big 3-0, the franchise is thankfully marking this milestone with releases based on other generations as well. However, if you're still in the mood for classic Pokémon games, then there's at least one more celebratory release to keep your eyes on.

We've seen a ton of merch releases around the 30th anniversary already in 2026, but it doesn't look like Pokémon is done quite yet. A whole new batch of 30th anniversary goods have been revealed, and while they're only available at Pokémon Center Japan right now, they look cool, so hopefully, we'll see them coming Stateside soon.
