The upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be the biggest release we've ever seen in the history of video games, to the extent that other publishers are so terrified of the open-world game that September 2026 is now almost comically stacked with games that are rushing to get some attention before GTA 6 arrives. Other large games, such as Fable, have retreated to the safety of 2027.
While Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive have promised GTA 6 marketing finally begins properly this Summer, fans are growing increasingly concerned we haven't seen that third trailer or any substantial gameplay. It's coming, of course, but the question has been asked a few times: will GTA 6 really be ready for November 19?
Fortunately, it sounds as if everyone can stop fretting. Earlier this week, well-known industry insider NateTheHate weighed in on the release date, writing: "Unless something unexpected & catastrophically goes wrong with GTA VI in the immediate future... it'll hit in November as planned." Nate has an impressive track record, but he was one of many insiders echoing this sentiment.
Of course, as reliable as a leaker may be, many fans won't be...
