There aren't many who would argue Elden Ring isn't one of the greatest games of the last few decades, and very possibly one of the greatest games ever made. Developed by FromSoftware, the studio took everything it built with the Dark Souls trilogy and Bloodborne, and transplanted it to a vast open world.
Given the sheer size of Elden Ring and the myriad of ways it encourages players to explore and learn about the world, it's no wonder the story has managed to continue and evolve beyond the game itself.A graphic novel series is ongoing, and there's even an upcoming live-action movie from Alex Garland.
