Despite being accessible on the PlayStation 5, the lack of next-gen updates for Bloodborne means that the hit FromSoftware title is firmly stuck in the past, maintaining its limited FPS that we first saw when it launched back in 2015.
It may be considered one of the greatest video games of all time, but Bloodborne remains a touchy subject for many of its fans. Despite celebrating its 10th anniversary, the FromSoftware hit has become another victim of Sony, with the company seemingly dragging its heels when it comes to allowing Bloodborne to leave PlayStation exclusivity. As such, a PC port is not on the table, but neither is a potential remake, remaster, or sequel, it would seem.
It may be an incredible game in its own right, and is still an enjoyable experience on its native PS4, but there is no doubt that Bloodborne's popularity will shine even more thanks to at least a next-gen update. However, with one seemingly not coming anytime soon, it has been left to modders to find ways to give Bloodborne the makeover it deserves.
