The Star Wars franchise has grown exponentially since the early days of A New Hope, and along the way we've been introduced to thousands of characters, all of whom have their own roles to play in the galaxy far, far away. Everyone has their favorites, but the most beloved cast members are usually drawn from the Original Trilogy for fans.
One major exception to that rule is Mace Windu, the impossibly skillful Jedi Master who was brought to life on the big screen by the inimitable Samuel L. Jackson. Arguably the best lightsaber duelist of the bunch, he immediately went down as one of the more iconic heroes in the Jedi Order, one who even managed to defeat Palpatine in one-on-one combat.
Now, the character is set to return alongside other major members of the series, and it's almost certainly in a place that you wouldn't expect.
