Fallout 4 is a very big game in its own right, easily offering hundreds of hours of locations to explore, quests to complete, and horrendous monsters to slaughter in increasingly extravagant ways. That said, it's over a decade old at this point, and there's every chance you have already explored everything it has to offer across the base game and DLCs.

Happily, the game has a huge and dedicated community that continues to produce additional content, particularly if you're playing on PC, and it's particularly useful given the conspicuous absence of a sequel. Some are a little more ambitious than others, though, and there is a standout option that offers hours of fun for those willing to download and install it.

Atom's Retribution 2 is a hugely ambitious, DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 that adds over 24 hours of new quests, all tied to the Children of Atom. In this download, they are a considerably more significant faction in the Commonwealth, promoting them from outliers in the Glowing Sea to a genuine force.
