Halo Studios has unfortunately confirmed a few disappointing pieces of Halo: Campaign Evolved news. Ahead of the game's release on July 28, 2026, the developer has hosted a Halo: Campaign Evolved Q&A session, which has left many gamers frustrated.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake of 2001's Combat Evolved, marking the series' debut on Unreal Engine 5. Crucially, it will also be the first time Halo appears on PlayStation 5, a significant change for one of Xbox's key franchises for 25 years. The remake brings some crucial changes to the game, notably the addition of three brand-new prequel missions and a sprint feature, which has always been a controversial topic among the Halo community.

Halo: Campaign Evolved has an expensive $200 Collector's Edition, but unfortunately for fans, it's already sold out.

Developer Halo Studios hosted a Q&A on Halo Waypoint in an attempt to clarify some areas of uncertainty surrounding Campaign Evolved. While the answers were definitive, they weren't necessarily what many wanted to hear. The first piece of news is perhaps the least consequential. Sgt.
