PlayStation Plus is a constantly evolving service, in large part due to the continual changes to its library. A monthly rotation of free titles for Essential members is constantly shifting, while the Game Catalog available to Extra and Premium subscribers adds and drops titles in a less regular fashion.
None of that will be changed, but the latest slate suggests that the manner in which it happens is going to become a little harder to keep up with. After years of the service operating in a reasonably predictable way, fans aren't happy with the potential for things to get more complicated.
PlayStation Blog's announcement of the June Catalog titles earlier this month revealed that a staggered release schedule would be deployed in the US, UK, and Japan. In the US, that looks like the following:
Game
PS Plus Date (US)
Sonic X Shadow Generations
June 10
Final Fantasy 16
June 16
Gitaroo Man (Premium Only)
June 16
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
June 23
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
June 23
Black Desert
June 30
Blades of Fire
June 30
Farming Simulator 25
June 30
Unsurprisingly, many fans aren't happy with the change. On Reddit, critics are particularly focused on the effect...
