Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire (and, by extension, Pokémon Emerald) really are some of the most iconic games in the series, and they remain a real high point for many longtime fans of the franchise. The addition of Groudon and Kyogre was undoubtedly also a real win for fans, with the legendary designs leaving many of the other generations in the dust.
Though those halcyon days are certainly a long way behind us now, there's absolutely still a fondness for those times among the community. As such, any time they return, no matter what form it takes, there's always going to be some interest, and the latest product tied to the games really is one of the most unique we have seen so far.
Over on the official Pokémon Center Online website for Japan, The Pokémon Company has announced and released Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald editions of their Package Pins collection. The genuinely gorgeous range makes pins out of the original Japanese packaging of the games over the years.
