Mysterious New LEGO Hello Kitty Set May Not Be That Much of a Mystery After All

New LEGO collaborations release all throughout the year, every year at this point, so it was hardly surprising when a crossover with Hello Kitty was confirmed by Brick Tap’s inside sources. However, beyond this set’s release in January 2027, there’s practically nothing to go off. Naturally, fans are sharing their hopes and dreams for the Sanrio bricks, not to mention their fears about Hello Kitty’s LEGO team-up ending up like the hugely divisive LEGO Pokemon sets. Despite having no official information to go off of, though, it’s possible to speculate about what the set (or sets) will entail.

There are two key reasons for this, the first being the existence of LEGO-like building sets with other companies like Jazwares. Through these BLDR sets, LEGO fans can get a general idea of the kind of Sanrio-themed builds they would be working on, with character specific shops accompanying minifgures of the most beloved critters. Additionally, though a very popular fan-made LEGO idea that got 10,000 supporters didn’t pass internal review at the company in 2022, the mockups do show how LEGO could approach its Sanrio content.
