With Grand Theft Auto 6’s fall release date seemingly secure and almost every other game scrambling to either cram itself into a packed September or push itself to a cozy 2027, Rockstar’s upcoming blockbuster is routinely proving its dominance in the industry. But as Grand Theft Auto 6’s release date inches closer with each passing day, week, and month, it’s only a matter of time before its summer marketing campaign begins.
Grand Theft Auto 6 could theoretically stall additional marketing for as long as it wants, much less indefinitely, and fans’ excitement for the game wouldn’t deflate for a second. However, ever since Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned that Grand Theft Auto 6’s marketing will commence in the summer, fans have literally been counting down the days until summer starts in order to predict when we may see Trailer 3.
Because the first day of summer solstice 2026 is officially June 21, fans are rabid about the thought of proper launch marketing beginning as soon as this weekend. As such, Twitter/X users like GTA 6 Countdown are reiterating June 21 as the day that fans could receive a new trailer or piece of marketing.
