Free PlayStation Plus Available Now, Gamers Pleasantly Surprised

It seems like every company under the sun has a subscription service of some kind available to consumers these days, and if you were signed up to all of them, it would likely be untenably financially taxing. That said, if you are a PlayStation player, then PlayStation Plus is a genuinely compelling offering that's worth grabbing if you can afford it.

It unlocks access to multiplayer gaming, as well as free monthly games to download and keep, and the ability to play games from the existing back catalog whenever you like. At the same time, there are occasionally offers that can lessen the burden, and one of those seems to be rolling out to players right now.

Over on Reddit, one user shared a post detailing a message they had received from PlayStation confirming that they had been awarded seven days of PlayStation Plus Premium for free. That's the highest level of the service, and though it doesn't offer too much in addition to the tier below, it's still well worth having if you don't have to spend any money.
