This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise, and although we have to wait until February 2027 for the launch of the next entry, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, we have received enough Lara Croft-based announcements this year to keep fans more than happy.
Alongside the upcoming launch of Legacy of Atlantis, an Unreal Engine 5 reimagining of 1996's debut Tomb Raider game, we can also look forward to Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the next mainline Tomb Raider game set in Northern India following a mythical cataclysm. However, with both upcoming titles not expected to launch until 2027, there is a way to spend some time with Lara this year, albeit for a limited time.
That is because both Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015) are set to leave the Xbox Game Pass library on 30 June. As the first two entries in the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy, they are finally set to leave the service, meaning that Cloud, console, and PC users will no longer be able to access them at no extra cost. However, the third installment, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is still available.
