Whatever your favorite entry from the series happens to be, there's no doubt that Pokémon Diamond & Pearl are very solid entries that deserve all the plaudits they get. That said, they seem to be referenced in the wider product a lot less than other games from that time, generally speaking, and it's not exactly clear why that is.
That has already begun to change though, with Pokémon celebrating its 30th birthday as a franchise this year, and a ton of new releases coming down the pipeline that celebrate everything that came before. The latest of those has now been confirmed, and Diamond & Pearl are at the very center of it all.
Over on the Toy People website, Bandai Candy, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., announced their latest run of products for Pokémon Scale World. If you haven't come across those before, the company has been producing them since 2019, and they are essentially a line of 1:20 scale Pokoemon and character figures.
