There have been a lot of rumors that we may possibly get a release date and price for Valve’s upcoming Steam Machine sooner rather than later. It has been a long time coming, and perhaps dbrand knows something, as I wrote this up after getting an email in my inbox from them asking if I wanted to purchase its Steam Machine Companion Cube.

However, since this is dbrand we’re talking about, they don’t make things easy. There are two different versions being sold, with the main Companion Cube bundle priced at $129.95. That version includes the Companion Cube enclosure, a Test Chamber diorama and Steam Machine controller skin inspired by Portal, and a cake-themed suede cloth. It even ships in a collectible box.

Or, if you don’t want all of that, there’s what dbrand is calling the Poverty Cube. That version forgoes the extra stuff, meaning you just get the Steam Machine Companion Cube itself, and it ships in a plain cardboard box. It is also priced a bit cheaper at $99.95.
