As far as all-time great JRPGs go, Chrono Trigger is right up there. The time-traveling Square Enix adventure is beloved by gamers everywhere, and deservedly so. This emotional adventure through time isn't just one of the best games by Square Enix, but one of the greatest games of all-time. So, how about a remake?
There may be more video game remakes than ever before, but they also seem to be getting better and better. Games like Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake put new twists on old classics. Even certified Greatest Game Ever The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is getting a remake this year.
Naturally, then, it's fair to assume Chrono Trigger would get the remake treatment sooner rather than later. Rumors abound that a remake is on the way, but in lieu of an official announcement, gamers have made their voices heard. Japanese video game publication Famitsu recently asked its readers which games deserve to be remade, and Chrono Trigger unsurprisingly topped the list.
