Pokémon is on top in multiple categories. The TCG is currently on fire (in a good way), selling out constantly in just about every respect, especially when it comes to the Ascended Heroes and Pitch Black sets this year. Pokémon Legends: Z-A, while having some issues, also sold about as well as Arceus, and has the potential to continue its climb this holiday season.

After all, Z-A is still positioned as the newest Pokémon entry even a year out, until Winds and Waves hits in 2027. But there's also a curveball on the way. As stated on the official Pokémon website, there are changes coming.

As announced by The Pokémon Company, Legends: Z-A's 12th season is coming to a close this week. Season 12 has been a particularly wild time for Pokémon players, as basically any Pokémon is eligible for online play, even Legendaries or Mythical party members. It's led to a lot of chaos, and some players have even sat things out until they return to the status quo.
