Even though it's years away, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is already being frequently discussed online, and that's also leading to some pretty hot debates. Everything from Cyberpunk 2's expected release window to which characters might return has been widely talked about, and considering how many people love the open-world sci-fi RPG, these topics don't seem to be going away anytime soon.
Cyberpunk 2077 concluded V's story, and CD Projekt Red has been pretty forthcoming with that information. Still, it's hard to imagine a Cyberpunk sequel without them, especially once players have gotten so attached to their character. Over on Reddit, a number of fans were vocal about whether they'd like to see V return or not — even if CDPR has already confirmed Cyberpunk 2 will have a different protagonist.
"Calling it now: the absence of V in the sequel will upset a lot of players," reads the original post. It's included with a screenshot of a fan poll, which asks, "Which character should return in Cyberpunk 2?" While compelling characters like Johnny Silverhand and Morgan Blackhand got close to 20% of the votes each, V received the most love with 44% of the total votes.
