CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski today revealed that Lords of the Fallen II will now release early 2027.
Another one bites the dust. The 2026 holiday season has shaped up to be quite packed for games. Not only is Grand Theft Auto VI launching this November, but other releases have packed themselves into the months beforehand. With heavy-hitting titles like Marvel's Wolverine, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 among others, all competing for mindshare, it's not too surprising that many titles are opting to wait till 2027 for launch. As such, given the crowded calendar and the looming shadow of Grand Theft Auto VI, Lords of the Fallen II moving to early 2027 isn't much of a shock.
A Smart Delay
CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm the delay. In his statement, Tyminski admitted that the game will benefit from avoiding the packed schedule this holiday season. This should, hopefully, give the title the attention the team hopes it garners.
