Zelda Open-World Sequel Accidentally Confirmed Early

There's no doubt that it's set to be a very exciting year for The Legend of Zelda, with the franchise celebrating 40 years out in the wild and fans waiting to hear how Nintendo plans to mark the occasion. One significant aspect of this is undoubtedly the arrival of the Ocarina of Time remake, which the developer confirmed in the most recent Direct.

Though we didn't get to see any of the game itself at the time, even confirmation of its existence was more than enough for fans to lose their collective minds. What many may not have realized at the time is that the fact that the Ocarina of Time remake definitely exists, may be enough to tell us exactly what's coming up beyond that.

As first reported by Game Rant, the news of the Ocarina of Time remake's existence was leaked ahead of time by several sources, including Nate the Hate, Nash Weedle, and Shpeshal Nick. Those weren't the only predictions they made, though, and they also speculated about further games that are in production at Nintendo around the same time.
