Xbox Game Pass Adds Day-One Co-Op Game with 'Very Positive' Reviews

Abyssus is now available on Xbox Game Pass, joining as a day-one addition to its console catalog and another title for its PC library. This is the 16th game to reach the service in June 2026 and the 108th Xbox Game Pass release since the beginning of the year.

Developed by Sweden-based DoubleMoose Games, Abyssus is a roguelite first-person shooter set in a sunken civilization filled with deadly denizens. In addition to firearms, players can wield various magical spells, including elemental attacks, as they explore its procedurally generated levels either solo or in teams of up to four. That combo of gunplay, magic, and nautical worldbuilding makes Abyssus an example of the so-called "brinepunk" genre, a seafaring take on steampunk.
