Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily one of Rockstar's finest games, and yet, for some bizarre reason, it does not have a current-gen port. Rockstar has made a concerted effort to bring its plethora of other titles, sadly not including that one surprisingly great ping pong one, to current-gen consoles, so one would naturally assume an RDR2 Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 port would be on the cards. At this point, even a Nintendo Switch 2 port would do, especially considering that console currently only has the first game in its library.
Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of RDR2's next-gen update's absence is that numerous leaks and rumors from fairly reputable sources claim that it exists. Indeed, many believe that a Red Dead Redemption 2 next-gen update is likely on the cards, but that Rockstar continues to delay it, in large part, due to the development of Grand Theft Auto 6. Recently, a new report came out that speculated the release date could be even further than we had initially considered, and, naturally, it's dividing fans.
