Between the Destiny 2 team at Bungie being gutted and the layoff waves reportedly coming to Xbox, a CD Projekt RED Director has issued a brief statement on social media regarding the matters, offering some support.
Reports indicate that Bungie's studio head, Justin Truman, is stepping down in the wake of the recent mass layoffs at the studio.
Following the news that Bungie had laid off almost all of its Destiny 2 staff, CD Projekt RED Associate Game Director, Pawel Sasko, took to Twitter to state that, "some days I feel our industry is imploding -- teams and game projects are getting slaughtered every second day, to the point it's hard to keep up." Sasko goes on to give thanks that at least CDPR is still hiring across the studio's Poland home base, the US, and Canada, and offers devs a link to the company's current job listings. Job listings on the official CD Projekt RED website include roles across multiple development fronts, such as Animation, Engineering, Art, and Production for upcoming games, including the mysterious Project Hadar, Cyberpunk 2, and The Witcher 4.
