Newly Revealed Marvel’s Wolverine Gameplay Feature Splits Fans

Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t only such a dramatic and unprecedented endeavor for Insomniac regarding its Marvel endeavors because of how linear it’ll be (and therefore a drastic change of pace in gameplay, in comparison to Insomniac’s three Marvel’s Spider-Man games), but also because of how graphically violent it is. This puts Insomniac in an interesting predicament, especially when Wolverine is known for claiming to be the best at what he does.

In Marvel’s Wolverine’s extended gameplay trailer, Wolverine demonstrates that what he’s best at is killing mercenary cyborg fodder and spilling as much blood from them as possible in the process. That’ll surely be a phenomenal gamification reward for anyone who adores X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s Uncaged edition and a more barbaric, lethal Wolverine, in general, yet some fans have begun expressing their disappointment at the fact that Insomniac is giving players the option to pare down how gratuitous Marvel’s Wolverine’s violence is.
