Kadokawa has released the third official trailer for Sekiro: No Defeat, an anime adaptation of the critically acclaimed 2019 FromSoftware-developed action game. Sekiro: No Defeat is currently set for a September 4 release in Japan, where it will receive a 3-week theatrical run. The anime adaptation will then come to US audiences at a later, yet-unspecified date via the streaming service Crunchyroll.
First announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live in August 2025, Sekiro: No Defeat is being created by studio Qzil.la, with Kenichi Kutsuna (a key animator on anime like Bleach, One Punch Man, and Naruto: Shippuden) attached to direct. While exact plot details haven't been revealed just yet, Sekiro: No Defeat seems to be following the general plot of the FromSoftware-developed source material, with the story centering on Kuro, the Divine Heir, and his loyal shinobi protector Wolf.
Although it looks very similar to FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Phantom Blade Zero shares a lot more similarities with Black Myth: Wukong.
The third released so far, this most recent Sekiro: No Defeat trailer has a runtime of just one minute, but that minute is filled with intriguing story teases and enticing shots of thrilling action...
