Though both games definitely have their own issues, the Pokémon Legends spin-off has been a much-needed distraction between big releases in the main series. That said, developer Game Freak treats them as mainline entries for all intents and purposes, and so, by that logic, getting future entries is genuinely important for the franchise as a whole.

Z-A was a solid next step, but the next release really needs to dial in on what the developer wants the Legends games to be moving forward. A big part of that equation is a compelling setting and story, and while we don't know what that will look like yet, we do know what we could have been playing, and it would have been a different game entirely.

Over on Reddit, one user shared a post detailing information uncovered as part of the infamous Teraleak, in which Pokémon Legends 3 would have been set in Galar 1000 years in the past. The madness doesn't stop there, though, as the game also would not have had PokeBalls, and instead, players would have been required to gather a flock of Pokémon in order to defeat giant Dynamax enemies.
