Animal Crossing: New Horizons Officially Getting New DLC

Upon launch back in 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons offered players hours of content, as well as the ability to make their own, in the latest entry in the beloved Nintendo franchise.

Releasing at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a lifeline for many fans, allowing them to connect with friends during the various lockdowns that took place throughout the year. A year on from launch, Nintendo launched its Happy Home Paradise DLC for ACNH, and in more recent years, it finally brought the hit game to the Nintendo Switch 2, alongside Version 3.0.

Despite the love for the game, and its record-breaking sales and achievements, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has also received criticism for its lack of post-game updates. As such, its player base has dropped dramatically in recent years, with players finding no reason to return to the social simulation game, especially when Pokémon Pokopia burst onto the scene back in March 2026.

However, there is no denying the love for the Animal Crossing franchise, which has been a fan-favorite since it launched back in 2001. As such, this upcoming release is guaranteed to put a smile on the faces...
