A Destiny 2 player finds and shares an incredibly powerful build capable of completing hard endgame activities and Raid encounters completely solo, deleting bosses and regular enemies alike. One could argue that there is a silver lining to Destiny 2 getting its final update in June, and that comes from the game being in a "forever meta" state, where good builds will be viable for years to come. In fact, the game will no longer receive updates of any kind, with maybe one more hotfix on the way in the coming weeks.
Recently, Bungie laid off Destiny 2 developers en masse, with 292 confirmed job cuts in the studio alone, and other layoffs affecting SIE positions and contractors. This, unfortunately, means there is no longer a dedicated team to fix issues in the game, which is why the hotfix that was supposed to come today, June 30, was delayed indefinitely. Still, the Monument of Triumph update brought back thousands of players, and despite the bad news, Steam numbers are not dwindling much after three weeks.
