It is hard to believe that it has only been six years since the PlayStation 5 first launched. However, launching during the midst of a global pandemic, dealing with stock shortages, and an army of scalpers is bound to make an impact, especially as it meant that many fans could not get their hands on the console for months after its launch.
On top of that, the PlayStation 5 is hardly known for its exclusive games, as there are not many to talk about. That being said, with Sony's plans to make exclusive games... well, exclusive once more, and no longer launching them alongside a PC port, the future may be changing for Sony.
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation of the PlayStation 6 being in development, but we can expect that to be the case. Despite it feeling as though the PlayStation 5 has hardly had its time in the spotlight, and the PlayStation 5 Pro acting as a mid-generation launch, it is almost time to move on, but in the meantime, Sony is still working on making the PS5 its best console yet with regular updates and software patches.
