During the most recent Nintendo Direct Showcase, a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake was finally announced after months of speculation and rumors. Set to reimagine the beloved 1998 Zelda classic, it will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, allowing fans to re-immerse themselves in the magical world of Hyrule, as well as act as a way to introduce brand-new players to the franchise.

However, with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time being widely regarded as the best Zelda entry, as well as one of the greatest video games of all time, there is currently a lot of pressure on Nintendo's shoulders, especially when it comes to the artstyle they have chosen for the remake. With some fans wanting an entirely next-gen remake with almost photorealistic graphics, others want Ocarina of Time to retain its original aesthetic.
