Midnight Society has confirmed that its upcoming extraction shooter Deadrop is still on track for a 2024 release, despite the controversy with co-founder Dr. Disrespect. The game studio co-founded by the massively popular streamer officially revealed its first game in early 2022, with Midnight Society working on an online multiplayer FPS game. The studio officially confirmed its inaugural shooter would be set for release in 2024, though the release window came into question following the public controversy surrounding its co-founder. Now, however, Midnight Society has reaffirmed its officially scheduled release window.

Dr. Disrespect's long-disputed permanent ban from Twitch was once again brought into the spotlight as a former Twitch employee revealed his ban was related to "sexting a minor," a claim that the streamer would later confirm.
