With the United Kingdom currently having no Prime Minister, no James Bond, and no Doctor Who, it is in disarray, but hope may not be lost as the latter is set to return this August.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the planned Doctor Who Christmas Special would no longer be going ahead for 2026, alongside the news that its current showrunner, Russell T Davies, would be stepping down. Portrayed by actor Ncuti Gatwa from 2023 to 2025, the role of the Doctor has since been left vacant, and with fans wondering who the next Time Lord will be, this upcoming release may just shed some light on the situation.

Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker launched back on 25 June and offers Doctor Who fans the chance to experience a multi-platform story played out across a series of different formats. First announced back in 2025, BBC Studios has recently announced more details surrounding the unique experience, as fans can look forward to a summer filled with audio, publishing, gaming and digital stories during the Whoniverse event.
