Cyberpunk 2077's success is something none of us quite saw coming when the game first launched back in 2020 in a questionable state. With some players having to deal with bugs and glitches galore, many storefronts had to step in and remove the game until CD Projekt RED had provided some much-needed fixes. Well, the studio did that and then some, as the RPG is now considered one of the best of all time.
Thanks to the tireless work of CDPR, its award-winning Phantom Liberty DLC, and news of a sequel, Cyberpunk 2077 has gone from strength to strength, creating a living, breathing world inspired by the universe of Cyberpunk created by Mike Pondsmith.
Now, almost six years on, and Cyberpunk 2077's popularity shows no signs of dwindling. A recent collaboration saw a new legion of fans take to Night City after hailing it as "brilliant", and its anime show, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, is set to return for a second season in the Fall.
However, that is not all, as another exciting release is expected to drop later this year and I, for one, cannot wait.
