It's been a busy past few years for Halo fans, with the official announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved and its upcoming launch later this year, as well as the end of an era with the winding down of Halo Infinite as the main Halo Championship Series title. Gamers aren't all that thrilled with the state of the franchise at the moment, left hanging a bit with no official word on what the next mainline multiplayer entry is going to be or when we might expect to get our hands on it.

That said, aside from Halo: Campaign Evolved's upcoming launch and reports of Halo 2 and 3 both likely getting the campaign-only current-gen remake treatment as well, there have been rumors brewing from industry insider leaks suggesting that a completely new Halo experience is in the works behind the scenes, and it will reportedly be introducing some serious changes to the formula (via CB).
