Rook’s actor Erika Ishii has recently hinted that players could be able to romance Varric in the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard. If confirmed, this news should come as a surprise to many long-time fans of the franchise. Varric previously appeared in Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition, and was among the most popular characters, but had more of a mentor role for the protagonists of these games.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been in development for years, and is set for release later this year.
