Niantic announces the addition of a new in-game calendar for Pokemon GO, while also making additional quality of life improvements to the Today View. Even after 10 years, Pokemon GO is continuing on with updates, changes, and new content for players. Alongside seasonal content and limited-time events, Pokemon GO is also continuing to improve the overall in-game experience for players as well.
2026 has already proven to be a big year for the game as Niantic is celebrating Pokemon GO's 10th anniversary. The studio has plans for multiple events taking place throughout 2026, alongside new debuts and mega evolutions. Back in March, Niantic kicked off the All Out event in Pokemon GO, which added nearly all Pokemon to wild encounters, with specific biomes giving better odds for discovering certain types. Incense could also spawn a legendary Pokemon as well, making this event one of the biggest that Pokemon GO has ever seen. However, there's plenty more to look forward to as 2026 rolls on, including some quality of life improvements.
Pokemon GO just confirmed the bonuses and Pokemon lineup for its upcoming 10th anniversary event, including a very rare Pokemon.
