New Official Resident Evil Release Confirmed for July 30

Resident Evil fans have a brand-new official release to look forward to on Thursday, July 30. The Resident Evil franchise has been on a ridiculous hot streak for nearly a decade. While Capcom definitely misstepped with Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7 got things back on track and it's been nothing but bangers ever since when it comes to main series entries.

The latest main series Resident Evil game is Resident Evil Requiem, which launched earlier this year to rave reviews. Resident Evil Requiem reviews praised the game for expertly blending the slow-burn, first-person horror of RE7 with the explosive third-person action of games like Resident Evil 4. Requiem is one of the highest-rated new game releases of 2026 so far, and it's readily available across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and even the Nintendo Switch 2.

The next Resident Evil remake comes out in 2027, but it seems Capcom will have more to reveal about the game later this summer.
