Fallout 4’s 28 Years Later Crossover Is Exactly What We’ve Been Waiting For

While Fallout 76 continues to thrive and evolve as an online, multiplayer-centric action-RPG, it’s officially been more than a decade since Fallout 4 was released. Bethesda’s Fallout franchise, in general, has recently skyrocketed in popularity due to the live-action TV show adaptation for Amazon Prime Video. At the same time, it’s unknown when we may ever see a fifth mainline video game installment, especially with The Elder Scrolls 6 next up on Bethesda's horizon.

As is the case with plenty of Bethesda’s most beloved games, Fallout 4 has its fair share of mods that have given the dystopian RPG a greater shelf life and unofficial content to spruce it up. Fallout’s popularity can be attributed at least somewhat to its unique premise and rich worldbuilding, and a new Fallout 4 mod is blending the game’s post-apocalyptic horrors with one of the most compelling zombie franchises of all time.

Nexus Mods user Anderson2888 has shared a mod that is basically a crossover between Fallout 4 and 28 Years Later. 28 Years Later is the third movie in Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s series that kicked off with 28 Days Later, reinvigorating the franchise almost two decades later....
